• For living rooms, go for a larger rug that anchors the furniture.
• For bedrooms, choose soft, warm textures like wool or blended fibres.
• For hallways or dining areas, consider low-pile or flatweave rugs that handle foot traffic and chairs easily.

As a rule:
• In living rooms, the rug should sit under the front legs of sofas and chairs.
• In dining areas, it should extend at least 60cm beyond the table on all sides.
• In bedrooms, choose a rug that extends halfway under the bed or two runners on each side.

Lead times vary depending on the carpet and border you select, and whether the materials are in stock or need to be ordered in. Some rugs can be made and delivered immediately, while bespoke designs may take a few weeks.
